Alice is a Project Officer at Crichton Carbon Centre. Alice graduated from the University of St Andrews with a degree in Sustainable Development. After leaving University, she undertook a 4 month graduate placement in Malta, where she worked with local businesses to help them address climate change.
Alice is currently working on the CSmart Organisations project. Under this project, Alice works with small and medium organisations accross Dumfries & Galloway, helping them to measure and monitor their carbon footprint. Alice conducts carbon audits at the organisations and outlines the opportunities for carbon reduction in a Carbon Footprint Assessment. Alice hosts Carbon Opportunities Workshops at each organisation, teaching the staff and volunteers about climate change and encouraging them to get involved and generate their own carbon reduction ideas. As part of the project, Alice is also developing a set of briefing notes on various environmental topics to be disseminated accross the UK.
Alice is also involved in the Galloway Carbon Action Project, helping local communites calculate their carbon footprint. Alice is a trainer on the 2 day Introduction to Carbon Management Short Course and is a Teaching Assistant on the MSc in applied Carbon Management.
