Alice is a Project Officer at Crichton Carbon Centre. Alice graduated from St Andrews University with a degree in Sustainable Development. After leaving University she undertook a 4 month graduate placement in Malta, which was sponsored by Forward Scotland and funded by the EU's Leonardo Da Vinci trust. Here she worked to help local businesses address climate change in tourism.
Alice is currently working on the Carbon Organisations project, helping local organisations reduce their carbon footprints. This involves working with the organisation to calculate their baseline carbon footprint, conducting an audit to generate practical ideas for carbon reduction, helping them formulate a Carbon Reduction Action Plan and assisting them implement the recommendations. As part of the project she also conducts staff awareness sessions in each organisation and is currently working on a series of briefing notes to aid carbon reduction in organisations. She is also involved in the Carbon Management Short Course.
